Software QA Testing – Automation – Job Description

Role Overview:
An Automation QA Tester ensures software quality by developing and executing automated test scripts to identify defects and ensure application reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts

Execute automation and regression test suites

Identify, log, and track software defects

Collaborate with developers to resolve issues

Perform functional, integration, and performance testing

Maintain test cases, test plans, and test reports

Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings

Required Skills:

Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG)

Programming knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript)

Understanding of SDLC and STLC

Knowledge of API testing and basic SQL

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

5+ Years Experience in software testing or automation preferred
